Illustrating something in the past, The Spiderwick presents a fantasy world. With a duration 97 minutes, The Spiderwick tell us about an adventure of 3 youngsters. Jared (Freddie Highmore), Mallory (Sarah Bolger), and Simon (also played by Highmore).
Jared (Freddie Highmore) a son of a divorce parent against his mom Helen Grace (Mary Louise Parker) and his 2 youngsters moving from New York. Their new house was belong to Arthur Spiderwick (David Stratham), a great scientist 80 years ago. Jared loves his father so much. However he is always regarded as a trouble maker by his sister, Mallory. When they quarrel, Jared go away and find an old book. The book was covered by beware note which forbidding anyone to open it. Jared obeys the note and opens the book. He attracts the dangerous attention of goblins and their dark ogre leader Mulgarath (voiced by Nick Nolte) to the Grace family. His adventure was been beginning. He must save the world because of Malgarath will look for him to get the book for mastering the world.
Presenting of three youngster’s adventure, The Spiderwick whis is directed by  Mark Waters brings us to the fantasy world. Regarding the characterization, this film was supported by best actors and actresses. They were able to display their best performances.

However, The Spiderwick is far from perfect. The ending is unpretentious (simple) which is not challenging like the beginning. To sum up, apart of its weakness this film was very interesting and it’s suitable watched by children and teen.
